Eugene Zientara started Zientara Truck and Trailer in 1964 as a body shop with service capabilities. With the help from family members, he grew the business until health transitioned a company buyout to his son, John in 1985.

In 1985 Zientara Fleet Equipment Inc was started to meet the growing parts needs of Zientara Truck and Trailer Inc. after the closing of two parts warehouses in the Wausau area. Along with supplying parts to its sister company, Zientara Fleet Equipment Inc. started selling parts throughout the central Wisconsin area, servicing a 60 mile radius.

In May of 1985 Zientara Fleet Equipment Inc. was signed as a Fruehauf parts dealer. With the closing of the Fruehauf branch in Milwaukee, Zientara Fleet Equipment Inc. became a full line Fruehauf dealer. With the acquisition of Fruehauf by Wabash, Zientara Fleet Equipment Inc. became a Wabash parts dealer and in 1998 became a full line Manac dealer. In April of 2000 Zientara Fleet Equipment Inc. became a Transcraft dealer to offer an expanded line of platform trailers to our customers. Through the late 1990’s we recognized the changing dynamic in the flatbed industry with the use of tarping systems.

Today, Zientara Fleet Equipment Inc. offers Sliding Systems Inc. curtainside systems, Shur-Tite and Aero sliding bow systems. Along with new sales of these systems we have become the leading supplier of parts for these systems in the area.

As history seems to repeat itself, in 2007 John’s son Andrew started the buyout process. As of 2015 Andrew completed the buyout and the Zientara companies were under the third generation ownership. In 2017 Andrew combined the companies under the name Zientara Fleet Equipment Inc.

Currently the Zientara Fleet Equipment, Inc. employs 25 people, and offer 15 bays to accommodate all of our customer’s needs including full body shop including vinyl graphic options, service capabilities, alignment, and frame straightening. Along with service capabilities we offer a large amount in parts inventory.

Zientara Fleet Equipment strives to meet all of our customer’s needs and demands with an experienced and knowledgeable staff on a day to day basis. Our parts department continues to grow with the changing demand in the central Wisconsin market area. By teaming with Aurora parts, HDA Truckpride, and many other vendors, Zientara Fleet Equipment strives to meet the demands of its client base.
